With over 40 years of experience in the Geodetics and Geomatics industry, Peter is GdB’s most experienced Licensed Land Surveyors. Peter provides his expertise on cadastral mapping, site development, topography, cartography, easements, and control surveys, licensed as a Professional Land Surveyor in both New York and New Jersey.
Peter earned his Associates Degree of Applied Science with a focus in Survey Technologies from SUNY Farmingdale in 1980 and acquired his NYS Professional Land Surveyor License in 1986 and for New Jersey in 1992.
Throughout his career, Peter has continued to expand his knowledge through experience, professional development, and research. He served as a test student in the development of six graduate-level courses: GPS, Geodesy and Applications Program (GPS-GAP) by Dr. Alfred Leick of the University of Maine. Based on this experience developing the program, Peter authored the paper, “GPS Geodesy and Applications (GPS-GAP) - An Internet-based Geodesy and GPS Educational Application," which was published in Surveying and Land Information Science, Vol. 65, 2004. Peter has since published additional papers for “Constraining Network Adjustments” in 2007, and “OPUS-RS Pair Points: Case Study” in 2010 for the Journal of Surveying Engineering (ASCE), and was a contributing author to ASCE Monograph, “CORS and OPUS for Engineers – Tools for Surveying and Mapping Applications”, in 2011.
In addition to his published papers, Mr. Lazio served as a guest speaker at the National Geodetic Survey Convocation and the Northeast Positioning Conference, speaking on private sector applications, current and future trends for the On-line Positioning User Service (OPUS). Peter completed the OPUS Project Manager training course at the National Geodetic Training Center in 2016 and continues to add to his professional development through the New York State Association of Professional Land Surveyors (NYSAPLS) and the New Jersey Society of Professional Land Surveyors (NJSPLS).
Since coming to GdB in late 2017, Peter has provided unmatched knowledge, guidance, and mentorship to GdB’s staff, fostering the development of our field survey staff with best practices and experience. Peter has been a crucial member to GdB, providing his expertise as GdB grows its team and completes our large-scale projects for Federal, State, and local municipalities.

Director of Operations
Scott is the Director of Operations for the Honeoye Falls, NY Office and is a member of GdB’s Leadership Team. With over 29 years of surveying experience, Scott has performed surveys for a wide variety of both public and private sector projects in markets such as transportation, energy and construction. In 2017, he joined GdB and helped open the Honeoye Falls Branch office. Since then, he has assembled a team of over 21 highly technical field and office staff including 3 licensed professionals.
Scott graduated from the Surveying Engineering Technology program at Alfred State College in 1992. Scott acquired his Professional Land Surveyors License in New York in 2004 and in Pennsylvania in 2013. As a member of the New York State Association of Professional Land Surveyors (NYSAPLS), the Genesee Valley Land Surveyors Association (GVLSA), and the Pennsylvania Society of Land Surveyors (PSLS), Scott has added to his professional development, and has grown a network of colleagues and associates across the region.
Scott has had experience in every aspect of the surveying industry and understands what it takes to deliver the services needed to help our clients succeed. He currently manages projects totaling over $2M in yearly revenue and is heavily involved with GdB’s client relations and business development.
