GdB Geospatial Exhibits at NJSPLS SurvCon 2024

GdB Geospatial (GdB) was recently an exhibitor at the annual New Jersey Society of Professional Land Surveyors SurvCon Conference. The event, held February 21st – 23rd in Atlantic City, brought together professionals from the survey and AEC industries throughout New Jersey and the NYC Metro area.  For those unable to attend, here were the big takeaways from this year’s event.

Highlights from SurvCon 2024:

  • GdB Geospatial showcased the company’s  subsurface utility exploration (SUE) and photogrammetry capabilities.
  • Lemuel Morrison, LS, Business Development Lead, gave a two-part session. The NYC Grid, retracing Surveyor John Randel Jr’s Footsteps from 1st Street to 155th Street  and Surveying in NYC in the 21st Century.
  • Members gave acknowledgements and praise (and a few roasts) for retiring Mark Husik and Rona Goldberg.  The duo’s dedication to NJSPLS over decades has been the foundation for success.  For so many members, they are synonymous with the Society.  They have seen us progress in our careers and seen our families grow. Thank you Mark and Rona.
  • Members welcomed incoming Executive Directors Danielle Alexander and Kristen Chilleri.  What a great transition!  Really looking forward to your energy and fresh approach.
  • Members honored outgoing president Jeremy Klapper and installed new president James Heiser with a supporting Board of Directors.
  • Tom Frawley received Surveyor of the year. – A well deserved honor!
  • Students received scholarships.
  • NJIT and Rowan received grants.

What a great show! SurvCon has rapidly become one of Gdb’s favorite events.  We look forward to the familiar faces and new opportunities for 2025.
